Even though I am not convinced about global warming, I think if you can save energy, you may as well. Dell computers look like they are the most environmentally friendly at the moment.

This is unreal, more than half the people that lose their laptop an airport will not bother claiming it back. I can only assume its for the insurance. If I get it back from the airport I get an old crappy laptop but if I claim on the insurance, I get a brand new one. Its got to be a moral hazard if ever I’ve seen one.
New research reveals that hundreds of thousands of these laptops will be lost or left behind at airports, and 65-69 percent of them will go unclaimed
Here’s the story from Dell.

I think the Vosto 200 range is best for small business. Quad cores and massive storage are good but at the end of the day, a mid range core2duo will do all small business tasks. Large hard drives aren’t that important to small business. If you can only back up 10 GB online, why would you need a 500GB hard drive?
These 410s look good but they will have to be cheap to compete with the 200s. I’ll have a look when I can see them on the site.

I quite like the dull black on my Vostro. These look alright but can’t see any on the UK site. I sometimes get the feeling that fancy designs on laptops are like “go faster stripes”.
Available today starting at $699

Can’t work out why would anyone want a pink laptop. Dell listen to their customers so I guess there is a demand but I wouldn’t be seen dead with one. Those XPS laptops are nice but I’d chose a normal Vostro or Inspiron over a pink XPS any day. I’d get beat up carrying a pink laptop.

Just in time for Spring, Dell XPSTM M1530 and M1330 laptops are now available in pink! The performance-driven laptop line has now softened its image and sharpened its fashion sense with the addition of the bright and stylish color pink. Read the rest of this entry »
Its going to have to go a long way to beat Google Apps.

Guess if its OK if you can pay for it. Personally, I like the Indian Call Centres. Computers are cheap as chips and when I do have problems the support staff are overly friendly.
