PC Advisor have a nice review of the gaming Dell computer XPS

A handsome PC with strong performance, the Dell XPS 420 lacks the expandability that some high-end power desktops have.

Not totally convinced if you are in to your high end gaming that Dell is the best place to go.  Monitor’s are ace but if you are going to be spending money on a decent gaming rig, it makes more sense to build it yourself.

A computer broke down at work today.  We are down to the bare minimal with PCs.  We needed a new PC.  Looking on Ebuyer and PCworld business, nothing came close.  Any decent spec machine was around the £400 mark.  At Dell you can get that with a 19″ wide flat monitor.

Luckily, we fixed it by reseting the bios.

Dell are the best value PC systems available. If you add up all the component costs, you’d be hard pressed to get them at ebuyer for any less. The economies of scale (buying power) Dell has makes it practically impossible to beat on price. Add the warranty and the fact that the PC is pre-built you will not find a better value PC deal.
